The terms below describe how a visit runs and what each side is responsible for. They are the same terms read out on the phone.

Applies to

Every visit Matanzas Kitchen Service makes, from the moment a booking is taken.

01

Who you are dealing with

Matanzas Kitchen Service is an independent appliance repair company. We are not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by Thermador or its parent company. All brand names and model numbers are the property of their respective owners and are used only to identify the appliances we service.

02

Scope of work

We service Thermador domestic appliances in St. Johns County and roughly 40 miles around St. Augustine. We do not take work on other manufacturers, on commercial installations, or outside that radius, and we will say so on the phone rather than book a visit we cannot complete.

03

The diagnostic

Flat $129 diagnostic, credited toward the repair when you approve the work. It is payable whether or not the repair goes ahead, because it pays for the travel and the testing rather than for a particular outcome. If we cannot access the appliance on arrival, the visit still stands as a diagnostic.

04

Estimates and approval

You get a written estimate before any part is ordered or any labor is billed. An estimate covers the fault described on it. If a second, unrelated fault appears once the appliance is open, we stop and re-quote rather than continuing and adding it to the bill.

05

Payment

Payment is due when the work is finished and the appliance has been tested in front of you. Approved repairs have the $129 deducted from the total. Parts ordered specially for your appliance are chargeable once ordered.

06

Warranty

90 days on labor, 365 days on parts, genuine OEM parts only. The full terms, including what falls outside them, are set out on the warranty page. This is our own workmanship warranty and is separate from any coverage the manufacturer provides on the appliance.

07

Access, cancellation and rescheduling

We need safe access to the appliance and to its power and water shutoffs. Tell us the day before if you need to move an appointment, so the window can go to someone else. Pets secured, and a clear path to the kitchen, make the difference between a one-visit repair and a returned trip.

08

What a repair cannot promise

Appliances of a certain age sometimes fail again in a different place shortly after a repair, and a cabinet or a water supply that caused the original fault will keep causing it until it is dealt with. Where we believe a repair is not worth the money, we say so in the estimate rather than take the work.

09

Limits

Our liability is limited to the repair we performed and the parts we supplied. We are not responsible for loss of food, consequential damage, or for work another party carried out before or after ours. Nothing here removes a right you hold under Florida law.

10

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Florida, and any dispute belongs in St. Johns County.
